Tanya Rochelle Hanna joined the Firm in 1996. Tanya's specialty is trust law, and she has represented many major trust companies as well as private individuals in a wide spectrum of trust issues. Tanya also has experience in corporate, commercial and real estate matters. Tanya advises clients on all aspects of estate planning including the drafting of wills and trust instruments.

Transactions on which she has recently worked include:

• Merger of the two largest liquor conglomerates in The Bahamas.
• Representing trust companies in major pension fund restructurings.
• Representing the purchaser of shares in a major luxury retail business.
• Advising trust companies on a variety of Bahamian trust law and related issues.

Tanya obtained her legal education at the University of the West Indies, Jamaica and Barbados where she received her LLB. Tanya concluded her legal studies at Norman Manley Law School, Jamaica and was called to both the Bahamian and Jamaican Bars in 1993. Tanya is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and serves as a member on the executive committee of the STEP Bahamas branch.
