M. Craig Roberts joined the Firm as a Partner in 1978. As a result of his widespread experience structuring complex real estate development transactions throughout New Providence and the Family Islands, he enjoys the reputation as one of the leading Bahamian real estate lawyers. Craig also offers his clients a wealth of experience in banking, corporate matters, and mergers & acquisitions. He is sought after by leading Bahamian families and international Clients for his knowledge of wills, trusts and estates.

Transactions on which he has recently worked include:

  • Lead counsel on a non-Bahamian 1000-acre beachfront hotel and residential development in Treasure Cay, Abaco, including all Governmental permits and licenses.
  • Merger of two of the largest insurance companies in The Bahamas.
  • Development structuring of a $20 million resort in Eleuthera, Bahamas.
  • Advising on all aspects of structuring, purchasing, subdividing, and selling residential and condominium developments throughout The Bahamas.

M. Craig Roberts was educated at Queen's College, Nassau, Bahamas. He was admitted to the Bahamas Bar in 1968. Craig serves on the Board of Directors of a leading insurance company, a large retail group, a real estate development company, and a number of large resorts. Craig is a member of a well-respected entrepreneurial Bahamian family, and he possesses sound firsthand knowledge of the local business sector and economy.
