Located just 50 miles to the south of the Florida coastline, The Commonwealth of The Bahamas is an archipelago of more than 700 sub-tropical islands and cays offering a unique combination of natural beauty, political stability, social tranquility and one of the most sophisticated and experienced financial centres in the world.

Freeport, Grand Bahama, is an economic zone which has unique tax incentives beyond those available in the rest of The Bahamas. It is home to the largest and most modern container shipping port in the region, the development of which has contributed to healthy growth in all sectors of the Freeport economy. Grand Bahama is also the second most popular tourist destination in The Bahamas.

The chain of The Bahama Islands stretches over 500 miles between southeast Florida and Northern Hispanola. The Out Islands, (or Family Islands) of The Bahamas include Acklins, Abaco, Andros, the Berry Islands, Bimini, Cat Island, Crooked Island, Eleuthera, Exuma, Inagua, Long Island and San Salvador.
