M. Craig Roberts joined the firm as a partner in 1978. As a result of his widespread experience in structuring complex real estate development transactions throughout New Providence and the Out Islands, he enjoys the reputation as one of the leading Bahamian real estate lawyers.

Transactions on which he has recently worked include:

• Lead counsel on a non-Bahamian 1000-acre beachfront hotel and residential development in Treasure Cay, Abaco, including all Governmental permits and licenses.
• Merger of two of the largest insurance companies in The Bahamas.
• Development structuring of a $20 million resort in Eleuthera, Bahamas.
• Advising developers on all aspects of purchasing, subdividing, and selling residential sites and condominium lots for several major subdivisions in The Bahamas.

Craig serves on the Board of Directors of a leading insurance company, a large retail group, a real estate development company, and a number of large resorts. Craig is a member of a well-respected entrepreneurial Bahamian family, and he possesses sound firsthand knowledge of the local business sector and economy.
