Linda Beidler-D'Aguilar joined the firm as a partner in January 2005. She works principally in the area of investment funds and securities law, and has extensive experience in the corporate and commercial area.
Matters on which she regularly work include:
- Advising on commercial, corporate and regulatory aspects of joint ventures;
- Preparing constitutive documents, offering materials and operating agreements for investment funds on behalf of multinational institutional clients and ultra high net worth private clients;
- Structuring partnerships, corporations, segregated account companies and other vehicles for sophisticated financial planning requirements;
- Advising on private and public offerings in The Bahamas, including preparation of placement documents and ancillary transaction and corporate documents; and
- Creating vehicles for structured financing, secured lending and other transnational financial transactions.
After leaving private practice in the United States to move to the Bahamas in 1991, Linda worked at two major trust companies in the Bahamas, then as in-house counsel for Bacardi & Company Limited from 1995 to 2003, following which she returned to private practice. Linda is a Registered Associate under the Legal Profession Act of The Bahamas.
