Cheryl joined the firm’s litigation department in June 2004 where she specializes in personal injury and employment litigation. She has experience with trademark infringement claims, enforcement of foreign judgments, property dispute resolution, professional medical negligence claims, banking law, insurance law, admiralty law, and family law.
Cheryl advises several of the leading insurance companies in personal injury matters. She also acts for two of the largest commercial banks in debt recovery, security realization, and employment law. Cheryl also advises a leading hospital in the Bahamas.
Transactions she has recently worked on include:
- Representing leading Bahamian insurers in negotiating settlement of large personal injury claims and providing legal advice generally.
- Representing a leading U.S. franchise owner in trademark infringement/passing off claim.
- Representing a settlor of a trust in action for distribution of substantial trust assets.
