Andrew G. Wells has been a partner of the firm since 1996. Andrew’s area of practice is focused on real estate acquisitions either for residential use, subdivision development or mixed-use resorts and residential developments. He has a wealth of experience in dealing with securing appropriate governmental approvals on behalf of foreign investors and clients involved in foreign currency financing transactions. His clients include a number of the leading Bahamian banks and foreign financial institutions. Andrew has also represented clients in the registration of ships and ship mortgages under the Merchant Shipping Act, in ancillary estate matters, securing residency status, incorporation of limited liability companies and other corporate services.

Transactions on which he has recently worked include:

• Representing real estate developers with the purchase, development and re-sale of subdivisions.
• Advising a local bank on compliance with securities laws in conjunction with a public offering.
• Advising an international bank on various aspects of financing hotels and commercial concerns in The Bahamas.
• Conducting due diligence on various companies affiliated with a major oil conglomerate.

Andrew is the firm’s Bahamas Chamber of Commerce representative.
